FINNEGAN - 1 YEAR OLD MALE

HAPPY TAIL COMING SOON!

HAPPY TAIL - March 5, 2025

The decision to adopt Finn did not happen immediately (although it didn’t take too long ). Finnegan has a lot of social anxiety. At first, this came across in many different ways that led me to believe he would best be adopted in a home with no other animals.

As he spent more time with us, he eventually began to trust a little bit more. He often seeks out his foster brother Ernie for comfort and reassurance, especially while meeting new people or out in public.

Although he took quite quickly to us, Finnegan is not so easily won over. We are still working on socializing him.

I think what made me fall in love with him is his quirky personality and his snuggly demeanour. I decided to adopt him when I began crying myself to sleep some nights thinking about life without him.

Right now, we are focused on decreasing his anxiety and raising his confidence any way we can. In the meantime, he enjoys spending his time with his brother Ernie, sharing pup cups, going on walks, visiting the dog park (during less busy times) and learning to be kinder to the lovely workers at Pet Valu who only want to give him treats.

We cannot wait to show him more of this world and all the love that comes with it.
