Well now the old booger made it through Christmas and is flying through to the
New Year!

Bubba too as he is definitely on the old old senior listing as well!
Both are doing very well! Bubba a bit more spry than the Sarge!

As for Pugsley,
we have had the week to try a few new things and have found out the
following?!?!?

Chicken is no longer an aquired taste it seems; turkey has come in
as the number one fav!
Not sure if that has to do with the holidays BUT Pugsley will gobble down
the turkey and will lick the heck out of the chicken Wink

I have also been playing with the melatonin this week and have come up
with this formula which seems to be working (thank goodness):
am feeding he has a pain pill, second feeding (noonish) he has 1/2 a melatonin,
evening feeding he gets another pain pill, last feeding before bed the other half of
the melatonin.

The last several days have been very quiet!

As for his crater, it is all healed up and I am trying very hard to keep him from
thrashing around on that hip again Sad So far so good.

****Note for First Aid Kit****
I found these marvelous bandaid and I am totally in love with them Smiley
They are a "Bandaid" brand although "Nexuss??"
has something similar. but I am going to keethem on hand from now on.
They are a "fleshy" or "squishy" type bandaid, in 2 sizes and shapes, that are
supposed to aid in the healing of wounds! and from what I have experienced
with Pugsley's crater, they really really do work! Smiley Smiley Smiley

Anyhow, the bottom line,
Pugsley is almost back to normal for an old fart! Smiley which makes me very happy!
He has even tried to stand up on occassion and is sitting up for a bit!
Abi still continues to be his thorn (perhaps that is what caused the crater )  Wink
We have screaming sessions when she gets to close and he is aware of it.
Course her sitting on his face doesn't help  Roll Eyes
Anyhooooo,
Pugsley is still going and looks to have a few more miles on him yet! Smiley

Thanks again for all of your support and ideas,
they were very much appreciated and Pugsley also sends his best to everyone too!

http://www.bandaid.ca/en/productlist.asp?typeId=6

these are the bandages I was referring to!
I luv luv luv them! Cheesy

because on this page it says it all:
the second column "covered wound" info is exactly what I experienced
with Pugsley and very very fast too!
The wound closed up nicely and there is no scarring or scabbing.

I was sure that the cavity would not heal over and we would be heading in for some sutures,
however all is well and we are now waiting for the fur to grow back in as I had to pretty
much scalp the area to disinfect and keep the bandaid on. Poor old guy has a loonie sized
bald spot Sad  BUT no more crater Smiley

Sad  unfortunately not.
I worked this year and we had a fairly quiet Holiday!

Pugsley did get a new memory foam bed for his and Bubs old bones!

Both Pugsley and Abi spent the holiday "christening" it!

It has now been washed many times =

Our Christmas was low key this year as well...Hope you had a great time anyway and it sounds like your gang thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
