My dear friend, Lorraine Houston, had to let her pomeranian go today.  Wotty (her name was Dotty, but every one called her Wotty or Wottina) was probably 19 years old.  A little blonde pom like my Lola.  I met Lorraine due to our poms--I needed advice on the snarling bundle of fur I'd adopted and she had a snarly bundle of fur named Wotty.  We've become close friends every since.

Wotty had better people skills than Lola, but was ruler of the house in a big way. I believe she came to Lorraine from a shelter in New Jersey in 1995 (shelter thought she was 4 or 5 then) where Lorraine worked many years ago.

I know that Lorraine was dreading this loss.

Sail on, Wotty.  Hang with Lola if you would.

Man oh man, the Rainbow Bridge sure is going to be an interesting place!  A candle for Wotty and hugs to Lorraine.  As you once mentioned to me, Blanche, I imagine there remains a great psychic presence in her house.

Blanche, so very sorry for your friend and all those who loved Wotty, in their loss. Wotty must have been some amazing dog. When you love the way most of us love our animal friends, the day your lives part has to be one of the saddest days ever. Another candle wil be lit in Belleville tonight, this one for Wotty.
