Just got off the phone with the VEC and Monkey is doing MUCH better.  Vet said he's a totally different dog this morning.  Still snotty and gurgly, but has energy and is eating on his own.  They will keep him for another day to be safe, but if this continues then he'll be going to his foster home tomorrow night.

Great news!  He'll be so happy to be sprung from the VEC.

We'll keep sending healing vibes to Monkey. Is Monkey really the little guy's name?

Well, it's the name he got in the shelter.  He was a stray so didn't come with a name.  I'm not nuts about that moniker, but we'll see what his foster folks decide.  Maybe he is a monkey.

He is in his foster home as of 3:00, Jean.  He's not 100%, but way better than he was.  I'm still concerned about his back legs as his gait and stance are odd.  But that's another worry for another day.  For now, we're glad he's out of the VEC and we'll concentrate on getting him healthy.
