Hope everyone is excited as I am for this Sunday's event.
We will open the doors at 1:30 and it goes until 3:30
Admission is $7 with a Family Pass of $30 (I'm printing up a bunch of family passes so if you paid for, but did not get, a family pass, pick it up on Sunday)

The Pet Network will be coming to film a future episode of Fido & Wine. The host, Laura, will be on hand to get "pugged". She will be one of the judges in the costume contest and will present the awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Peachy Keen Pets is preparing a new line of doggy t-shirts and is asking for contributions. She is in need of old rock n roll t-shirts that you no longer need/wear. For every shirt she gets, she will donate  $2 to Pugalug Pug Rescue. So if you have that old Guns n Roses concert souvenir still buried in the back of the closet, help put it to good use.

Our good friends Designer Duds for Dogs will be coming so you can do your pug holiday shopping this Sunday

And get those pug nails trimmed for the coming season. Colleen and Paul will be setting up to do Pug Pedicures.
$12 with $7 going to Pugalug

The calendars are now at the printer. Catherine Banks, our graphic designer this year, will be bringing them on Sunday. Cost will be $20

The costume contest will be at 2:30. Contestants will meet in the balcony and then parade down the stairs and in front of the judges.

Group photo will be at 3 pm followed with the Raffle draw.

It's going to be a big turnout so "be afraid, be very afraid"

Carolyn, myself and the boys are going to try and make an appearance as well. Does anyone know if the groomers will be there (Coleen is it?)

I'm coming with Mookie and Mocha. Nellie isn't quite ready for such a big event. We don't want to stress her out, although she won't be happy when we leave her behind!

Sounds like wonderful fun. Sorry to miss it again this year as Winnie and Sasha's Dad will be working and I seem to have contracted some miserable respiratory ailment. Hope all the little Pug gremlins and their friends have a howling good time!

Take care of yourself.  There is a REALLY nasty respiratory bug going around that likes to become pneumonia.

Thanks Blanche for your good wishes. Unfortunately I am a member of the pneumonia alumna about three times over so have to be very careful. Have a feeling that this is going to end up in a trip to my doctor for a presciption for antibiotics.

Oddly enough, not sure if this is in sympathy, for about the past two weeks Winnie and Sasha have had runny noses which they have never had and Sasha has at times, night especially, sounded like she has had some nasal congestion. Have wondered about allergies but it seems like an odd time of year. We've had our furnace (forced air gas) on a bit over the last while and I wondered if it had anything to do with stirring up dust, although we have an electronic air cleaner. Not sure how effective it is.

Would be interested in everyone's thoughts.

I'm the Sargeant at Arms in the Pneumonia Anyone Club, Joanne.  Really prone to it so am always extra careful.

And I'd wonder if the girls don't have kennel cough--they don't always cough.  Some just get snotty noses.  It's the season for it and it's going around.

Can I join the club too?  I am a connoisseur of chest infections - bronchitis, pneumonia, croup - my yearly visitors, along with Strep throat.  This time of year my doctor just puts an antibiotic prescription in at my pharmacy whether I've seen her or not since she KNOWS that it'll get used.  In a world of germs that are like Arnold Schwarzenegger, my immune system is like the asthmatic little kid with crutches who gets picked last in gym.  My 19 month old son can fight off germs better than I can!  It's really sad Smiley

Feel better Joanne!

Vicki has told me that if she dodges 'babysitting the nephew', she might be able to come with Reilly and Leila.

And Miss Leila had her bile acids done again and while still not normal, they are consistent with what they have been for the last couple of years and the rest of her blood work is absolutely wonderful.  She's a miracle, that girl.
