recovered!!  YAAAyyyyyy  my boy is back Smiley

well I did not want to share this because I was really freaking this past week or so.

Pugsley has been not feeling well. Started with the old man not wanting to eat and
believe me, I know Pugs love their food, but he was turning down even his favourites!
Salmon with maple syrup, macaronis, spaghetti and tomato sauce.....
He was only interested in yogurt and cottage cheese and very little of that Sad Sad
Would NOT touch his meat either!

So we had bile and diarrhea. Lack of energy and the list goes on. Every morning I
would literally roll over and put my hand down to see if his chest was moving Sad Sad
I did not want to look just in case!
I was freaking!!

However, yesterday I was able to get small amts of macaroni, quinoa, lima bean and a
cottage cheese mix into him...... it still came out, not in a nice way, but at least he was actually
eating.

Today I had his Oma come over to watch him and he was as limp as a rag at lunch time when I went home to check (again I was freaking cause it is the most horriblest feeling having to go back to work when one of them isn't well) ..... I figured if it went on any longer I was doing an Emerg run to our Clinic tomorrow.
However, Oma has the touch!!! He ate  about 2 little mixed meals today and he did a nice solid dump and nothing came out the other end!

So I guess maybe he was missing his Oma??  Ah my sweet old man is back and I can't wait to get home tonite to see him  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Thanks Jane!

well at least we have control on the "leakage" and he seems to be
coming round to his old self!
I was concerned about dehydration and lack of food.
On Pugsley, if he doesn't eat for a day or two you really really see the effect quickly.
He goes from a good weight down to featherwieght!
Sad   then I really get worried.

But he had a good meal when I got home last night from work and almost
slept all the way through the night. We got up about 2ish and he had some
more to eat. He is at least crying for food again!

So I am a happy but exhausted camper right now Cheesy

Pugsley is a little fighter that much I do know Smiley

Thank you everyone.

To be sure it was a very nerve racking week and it continues.
Not with Pugsley though the little rat is now still a bit wobbly on
his legs from lack of food BUT is crying and grunting for food!
Good sign that he is back to a somewhat normal stage.
Very scary indeed, possibly an indication as to why I bought all the dye lot
in the brand of hair dye I use when it was dirt cheap  Undecided  I may need all
10 boxes  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes    (my sense of humour always saves me or at least I try)

However I have had many things this week and then last night I get
an email as I'm drifting off...... Sad was going to let it go and thank gawd
I did not.
One of the very last of my fathers brothers (13 siblings) in Saskatoon and the one
our family most idenitifes with; had a massive stroke on Friday.
The email advised he was not expected to make it through the nite and I was to
say the least, first very shocked (no longer sleepy) and then I was panic stricken
because my cousin that I keep in touch with is only on email or facebook, both I
knew she would not be attending in the hospital. No cell no contact!
So I called the hospital and was put through to the ICU ward and the nurse took
my info for the family.
I still have not heard anything; so am thinking the worst, because the family may
be in shock and trying to get things arranged. However hoping for the best.

It really has not been a good week and half Sad Sad
sorry just needed to whine a little Wink   see Blanch I'm still whining  Undecided

well heaving a sigh of relief!

I think Pugsley has finally kicked whatever was ailing him. So far it has been an uneventful night Smiley

We are back on track with food and constitutionals!
He is back to his normal self with just it seems a bit more wobbliness. But I think that will also go away once he gets eating on a reg basis and gains his strength and weight back. Although he is screaming for his food as normal; he still feels a bit light.

So thank you to all the well wishers! The old guy sends his heart felt thxs as well .)

Smiley  Pugsley is definitely an amazing pugman for sure. He certainly brightens up everyone's day!
He has put up with a lot of guff from the Gang of 3 and from the "young offender" and of course me Wink
when I have one of my melt downs LOL!

it will be a very sad day indeed when I can no longer pick him up and snuggle the old geazer!

As for making it to 19; I truly believe he will out live me Cheesy

As for my Uncle; I've heard nothing; although I have sent messages. I have more sad news to the story though; apparently my Aunt (uncle's wife) was in another hospital having some sort of major surgery (not sure what, details are sketchy on everything at this point) and is still in the hospital awaiting another
surgery Sad
Sooo I'm sure that led to my Uncles stress and ultimately massive stroke!
So I wait, because from the sounds of it.... my cousins have their hands full Sad  I feel so bad for them and they are sooo far away!

But I thank everyone for the positive thoughts because I'm sure my cousins are needing all the good vibes they can get too!

well news is sorta good for my relatives in Saskatoon (good ol' McLachlan determination and obstinance Wink:

Re: Auntie  (89yrs old)
>> she was in for a stent collapse and this is what is happening so far<<
Yesterday they took out the stent from kidney artery to see if that would help. She had a bad night again and in a lot of pain last night again, so today they inserted a tube with a little bag (Nephrostomy tube) and hopefully that will help this time with all the pain and pressure pain. It will help that bad kidney to drain out. Let's hope this works as the next thing would be major surgery to take the kidney out that is causing problems. She was in good spirits today and seems to be doing o.k. although she is very very tired as did not sleep well for the past couple of days.

Re: Uncle (79 yrs old)
>> rushed to hospital with a massive stroke and under went 5 by pass surgery Friday and this is the update for today<<
Not too much has changed although today he seems to be responding to the nurses' commands. He can nod his head to tell them if he's in pain or not. His little feet and hands are very very swollen. As of last night his kidneys have shut down so they have him on a dialysis machine now. There is still a balloon inside him to keep the heart from working so hard but they have to take that out in about 3-5 days and today is day 4. They are slowly lowering things like that down to see how he reacts on his own and slowly decreasing meds I think. He's trying to move around a bit and trying to move his head when talked to but he can't and shouldn't. He is still very critical.
