Darn those long weekends, they really screw me up. Kaia had an appointment with the vet yesterday for her wellness check and microchip and I missed it because I thought yesterday was Monday!! She's rescheduled for next Thursday.

She is really doing well, a little gem. Gets along very well with my resident pugs, and has tons of love to give!

Kaia had her wellness check today, she is a healthy 17.5 lbs.. just a tiny wee thing.

The vet did notice two things: her 'knee' on her back left leg pops, which isn't serious but will need to be watched. She also noticed that Kaia's nostrils are very tight which is causing her difficulty in breathing. My vet thinks that Kaia would benefit from having minor surgery to her nose to open the airways. She will be sending her recommendation to pugalug.

Behaviour wise, Kaia is perfect. She is a sweet little girl who just wants to kiss you, please you, sit on your lap and bring you all of her toys as gifts. She gets along wonderfully with the resident pugs, and loves to chase them around the yard.

I'll take a photo tomorrow so that it can be added to the web site.

Kaia has an appointment this Wednesday, Nov. 16 for her nose surgery. Hopefully it won't be painful for her.

Mookie had it done, with his palate. You would never know that he had surgery. They do bounce back very quickly! Good luck, little girl.

Kaia came through with flying colors. She actually sprayed me when she was giving me a kiss, just like my other pugs do  Cheesy. Her nostrils were so tight before that she didn't spray.

When I handed her over to the vet assistant though, I'd never seen a dog shake so badly in my life. I thought she was going to vibrate right out of her arms. When I went to pick her up, she just about lept right into my arms. She'll go for a follow-up on the 25th.
