Roscoe is 5.5 years old.  He was born with a kink in his spine which limits nerve access to his back end.  For the past 2 years, his walks have delightfully been in a wheelchair custom made for him by Eddie's Wheels.  (Tanya at Canine Wellness measured and fitted him out beautifully.)  Over the past weekend, Saturday night to be exact, the unthinkable happened.  For the first time in my life I forgot to bring the wheelchair in for the night from the front porch...and the next morning, it was gone.   Shocked   I know.  I too am still having difficulty believing this.  (Call me naive.)
My question:  does anyone have / know of a pug-sized wheelchair they're not using and which I could buy or borrow, at least until I'm able to start the wheels rolling (sorry!) on having a new one made?
Also, should I report this theft to the police?  Would they care?

Oh for crying out loud!  What kind of low life steals a dog's wheelchair?

Definitely report it to the police and let Tanya know.  She may have a "loaner" that you can use.

I'm just shocked that someone did this.

oh my gawd!
That is sinking to a new low for sure!!

I am so sorry for this to have happened to Roscoe!!
And you too!

Please do make a report!
the wheelchair might just be found and given to the Police and if they have your report on file they will return the wheelchair to you! Trust me they do run reports on stolen articles.

I hope that you and Roscoe have a happy outcome!

If there is anyway I could help, please let me and the rest of us know!

I would be pleased to give Roscoe a donation towards another set of wheelies!

Wow, that really is an all time low for humanity. I am appalled. You should definitely report it - you never know.

Ouch that's pretty terrible!  I'd report it as well, it could be one of those things that someone finds 10 blocks away because some miscreant decided to scoop it up to check it out and tossed it a few minutes later.

I am so sorry this has happened to you!  I also think you should report the theft to the police.  Is there any chance your home insurance might cover the theft of Roscoe's wheelchair?

That is terrible.
What a lowlife scum bag!
I don't have a solution to your problem, but I would also recommend that you report this to the police.

Also, I am not sure if you used a credit card to pay for it but when my new bike was stolen (two days later) - it was covered by my card. I am not sure if too much time has past though.

Report it to the cops.  Then perhaps your renters/homeowners insurance will cover a new one?

Poor Roscoe. Here's hoping your wheelchair finds it way back to you safe and sound! Perhaps someone will have a twinge of conscience.

Someone is truly disgusting to steal a poor little dog's wheelchair. Should put this story on the news, maybe you'll get the chair back.

Some people never ever cease to amaze me...and here I was thinking I entered a profession where I didn't have to deal with crazy people (kidding)!  But the stories like this that I hear...I just have nothing nice to say.  I think I read in other posts that Rosco is getting a new chair.  Hopefully, everything will work out!
