Oh.. he is just a little doll. Thank God he ended up in the good hands of Pugalug!

My Dominican dog, Chico, had mange too. He was still on his medication when he came to us but it cleared up over time. He's now living with my oldest son, but visits (aka dropped off to the sitter) frequently. This photo is a before and after photo that I made up (Tanya is my friend with the rescue in the DR)
He was also covered in machete cuts.. you can see the ones on his head.

Surgery went well and they were able to neuter him at the same time so one less anaesthesia to think about.  He's recovering and will be transferred back to the VEC tomorrow (I think).  I'm to call tomorrow at 10 a.m. to see how it's gone over night.

Latest word on this little man is that he's doing VERY well and is quite energetic (Of course, because he's NOT supposed to be!).  Looks like everything is going well and he will be in foster care soon!

He's really very cute and will be quite the looker, when he is all better. Poor little guy.
