For those who are more local and not doing the Elgin Pugnic, we are having a Polliwog Pugalug on September 18th from 12 to 2 at Canine Wellness. Please let me know if you are coming as we like to have some idea of the numbers and it's $10 a pug with the proceeds being split between Pugalug and Canine Wellness. You can PM me or email me at blanche.axton@gmail.comIf you have a life jacket for your pug, please bring it with you as Canine Wellness only has so many pug sized life jackets.

This is *such* a fun event. I have taken wee Lola and her gimpy sister, Nelly, back to the Centre *many* times since our first Pollywog Pugalug, years ago. Lola is an expert little swimmer now! We are sorry to be out of town for it this year.

What do you mean? You're not going to let Dar the MerPug do his death defying "Put me in the Water and I'll Stop Breathing" exhibition?

Poor Darwin, I guess he didn't realize you only need to hold your breath if you're going under water. Then again, maybe he was just taking the boyscout "be prepared" approach to swimming

I know, I'm terribly mean. But I think he's had enough after we took him to (cue ominous music) the BEACH.

I hope we can make it - I'll let you know soon Blanche. Maude was a little pugfish the first year, but swam like she was circling the drain last year. I am hoping she is a little more fish like this year.

Yippee! Possibly Maude and her fancy life jacket. We still have loads of room and it looks like Jane's Ollie will be making an appearance, too.

I am hoping Maude can get into her life jacket. I have taken to calling her Maudatee. That name will be even more apropos when she is in the water.

My oldest stepson calls Geeg "Tubs". Maybe Maude and Geeg could do aquafit together? Too bad we live too far away to attend. Jem sends his condolences.
