My dear friend (and loyal Pugalugger and Lulu's foster mum) Evelyn's family pug, Gracie, passed over the Rainbow Bridge yesterday morning.

Gracie was 13, lumpy all over, and much loved by her family in Toronto and in Montreal. She was Lola's nemesis, and taught my little girl almost ALL of her bad habits. Funny that in her dotage, Gracie became quite calm with Lola (Gracie tried - quite seriously - to rip Lola's head off a few times when Lola was just a puppy) - while Lola became the rabid and mad pug!

There are a few photos of the dear up on Lola's blog: http://lolapug.com/2011/08/14/farewell-crazy-coconutsi/

I will miss her nose bites and her self-conscious little strut.

Her family misses her terribly. It doesn't seem to matter how old our pugs are or how infirm they are. Life becomes so much emptier when they leave.

Lots of love to you, Coconuts.

Thank you all. I have passed on this link to Gracie's family. They miss Gracie terribly, and will be comforted by your words.

Gracie sounds like a wonderful Pug, lots of character and a very dear companion to those who loved her. So very sorry for her loss. She'll be welcomed at the Bridge by many great Pugs and may she run free there.
