We said goodbye to Salvador, as he heads off to the bridge. He was starting to forget who we were and would even growl at me. Today was a good day and he enjoyed munching a ton of treats and even looked perky! He always loved going to the vet or the park. It was good to see a little of his normal self, shine through.
Salvador was my first pug and came into our lives when we really needed him. We got him, at ten months, from animal services. He made it to 12 years old. We wouldn't have become involved in rescue work, if it wasn't for Salvador. He is responsible for us helping many puggies find good homes.
I was very upset, earlier today, but feel a sense of calm and know it was the right time and the best thing for him. We love him and will miss him. Please light a candle for him.
Here are a couple of videos and pictures.
The first video was done to celebrate his 10th birthday.

The second one is of him going to the park. This was his favourite thing! He would rock back and forth, since he couldn't walk there.

I love the picture of Salvador, laying in my arms. My Salvadorable. and the last one was taken yesteday.

Candace:
The world is a little less fun without Salvadorable in it.  I'm sure he will join the many characters at the Bridge.

Sail on, Sal.  Meet you on the other side.

Hugs to you, Candace.

Condolences, Candace.  Your Salvadore was a gentleman pug who was loved by many.  It was wonderful that you had so many good years and memories together.  You were his friend to the end.  Hugs to you.

Hi Candace,

You must be heartbroken and yet while I watched the wonderful video of Salvadorable all I could do is smile with great joy.  He brought so much joy into your lives and you gave it all back.  That was a beautiful tribute to a beautiful boy.

I just lit a candle for Salvador. 12 years is a long time, but I know when it comes to our babes, it doesn't seem long enough.
My heart goes out to you and your family. Run free Sal, your journey has just begun.

Thank you for sharing the video - he was such a wonderful pug. My favourite memory will always be him hanging out at Colleen and Paul's Pug Pedicure table.

A candle will be lit for the sweet little man.
