Debate is on whether he's a pug/boxer or a pug/JRT. I think boxer, but several rescue folks have said they think JRT.

Check for jumping. I think its genetic in JRTs. Also diabolical cleverness.....

He's a handsome guy, but the snout and docked tail lead me to think JRT. I could be wrong.

But boxers are routinely docked too. The snout seems a bit pointy for a boxer, but who knows - might be a Heinz 57.

Yep--boxers are routinely docked and cropped. I guess we should be thankful his ears weren't cropped as well. The colour is what makes me think more boxer than JRT.

Champ has his crazy moments - mostly trying to chew on you but overall he is settling into a nice boy with a great "smile".... he is first in line for kisses but is not very cuddly.
I did not realize JRTs were docked sometimes the ones I have seen were not.... I thought that was a boxer/ rottweiler thing... and he is no rottweiler...
He can jump but is not a huge jumper he does however like to play using his front paws like a boxer.. Blanche sent me a link to a video of a pug/boxer cross and he looks a lot like that dog who also had a longer snout. Colourwise he is very much a boxer fawn colour - red/gold.

He could be a pug/jrt. When I fostered Vincent, I started seeing this mix, everywhere! I found a pic that looks like kinda like Champ. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lalarsen/2309039820/
