And the pain is more from the bruising than the laceration, in my experience.


For sure it was more the bruising than the hole in my hand.  The entire outside of my palm, both pinky and ring finger up to second knuckle and part of the back of my hand were a dark purple.  Only a scab on the surface now, all bruising gone, and the icky 'thing' is healed in nicely.

I guess I was spooked as this was my first time near such aggressiveness.

Yup! There's a lot of power in those little stubby jaws.  And those short necks aren't too weak either.

Yeah, dog fights ain't pretty and once they are engaged, they can't disengage most of the time--they are too revved up to hear or think.
