My poor little old man started seizuring today. Badly. He had a massive cluster seizure this morning, then two more massive seizures during the day. I had talked to my vet after the cluster seizure and given that his blood work in March/April was fine, we wondered about a brain tumour. His remaining eye had been bulgier and redder the last week. When he had his fourth massive seizure in the early afternoon, I booked an appt to let him go.
He had another seizure at 3 and had a seizure on the vet's examining table while we were waiting for the sedation to kick in. It was the right thing to do to let him go.
I gave him almost two very good years and loved him dearly.
Sail on, Theodorable. I'll meet you on the other side, little man.

You sure did give him two very good years. He was and is enormously loved and you gave him everything he needed, especially today when it hurt you the most. Till later, sweet boy. A candle will be lit tonight in Quinte West. You will be with your mama always.

Oh Blanche, this is terribly sad. What a difficult day .....how unexpected as Theo seemed to be doing quite well in the last few months. We will light a candle in Markham and say a prayer tonight for Theo. Our thoughts are with you.

What a loss Blanche and I am so sorry for you and your family. Your Theo was blessed with the best life possible once he met you. A candle is lit here on the Bay of Quinte to guide Theo to the Bridge. There is no doubt that your kindred souls will meet again.

Blanche I am so sorry. What a shock when I saw this. As everyone has said he couldn't have been luckier to be under your care. It is so heartbreaking when we lose them but Little Theo had a very happy two years. Thinking of you all.
