As if I didn't have enough grey hair, Harvey decided he'd add a few more to the mix this morning. He bounded off the bed for breakfast as soon as the alarm went off as he normally does, but as he made his way to the stairs, i noticed that he was walking slowly, rather than the usual running and hopping and that he was panting quite heavily. He stopped when he got to the top of the stairs and came back towards me, as he got close he laid down on his side and seemed to faint. I picked him up right away and he recovered. We went downstairs for breakfast but he didn't seem interested in his food. I gave him some yoghurt and he eventually at his breakfast, but slowly. We decided to take him to the VEC. He was back to his normal self by the time we were on our way. The vet couldn't find anything wrong with him, but suggested he skip the dog park today and that one of us stay home to keep an eye on him. These are days I wish he could talk! Here's hoping it doesn't happen again!

Oh crap. Could he have hurt himself leaping off the bed?
And of course, he was better when you got to the VEC. That's almost always the case......

I've been pretty lucky with my Lola, but I know what you mean Ben, when you say you wish they could talk. The few times we've had issues, I've looked into those dark marble eyes of hers and willed an answer to squeeze it's way out from those little lip flaps.
Stay well Harvey.

Harvey has been his normal self since we've been back from the vet. Of course I'm paranoid and looking for/imagining things that would suggest otherwise. Hopefully this was a one-off thing.

Fingers crossed that this is a 'fluke'...my friend is extremely skilled at hiding grey if Harvey pulls another stunt like this.

Scary stuff and I can totally sympathize with the wishing they could talk, having just been through some fun with Cooper myself.
Maybe it was a blood pressure thing .. I know that sometimes if I get up too fast and start some sudden motion like that it can slow me down in a hurry, get dizzy, etc. Not sure why that would affect his appetite but who knows, maybe he was just a little freaked out himself too and food wasn't on his mind.
Glad he's back to normal though! I'm sure I got a few more grey hairs myself recently thanks to Cooper too.

Aw Harvey, hope you never give your Pals a scare like that again. You will have to watch that jump a little more or wait till your "servants" can help you down, that would be the best! Yep, gray hairs here too, Ben, Bubba did a 2nd seizure episode, in less than a month, last weekend and nearly gave me a heart attack! So I truly sympathize with you both!! Have a super long weekend and no more scares Harvey
