Our little Sasha Rosaleen's 4th Gotcha is on this upcoming Monday but we celebrate the day we found her every day. She came to us at a time when I had pneumonia and being home in bed I was reading The Secret Life of Bees. Sasha was named in memory of my husband's wonderful black lab Tasha, who had gone to the Bridge several years earlier. Sasha's second name was chosen for a character in The Secret Life of Bees. Rosaleen was a black woman who had suffered at the hands of racists in the American south and yet she had a spirit of courage, compassion and forgiveness with a large bit of spunk thrown in for good measure. That's our Sasha and we're grateful to have had her for four years and hope to have for many more. We love that sweet Pug Girl.

Happy happy Gotcha Day, Miss Sasha.

Blanche so did I. That book has to be one of my all time favourites. I'm going to dig it out and read it again in honour of Sasha's 4th Gotcha. I also just got my copy of Bobbing Along from the Pugalug Shop. Blanche it was another wonderful story. Oh to have met your Bobert. He sounded like a match made in heaven for you. What a devilish spirit he was! There is no doubt that he is waiting at the Bridge for you so that he can engage in more of his outlandish antics and this time I bet you'll get losts of slobbery kisses.

Thanks to each of you for your good wishes for Sasha's fourth Gotcha. She had one of the most amazing Gotchas yet. This little girl loves her life, especially being with her family, and her personality just keeps emerging even after all this time. We spent the day with her doing her favourite things - going places, riding in the car, visiting her Nanny, and having special food treats (a marrow bone). We took her to a pet store thinking that maybe she might like a toy but nothing doing. She still has no interest in toys, only if there's food involved. That night she slept on her side snoring loudly and that usually means she's quite tired and sleeping very soundly. Hope her dreams were sweet.
