Voting Co-ordinator has another contest folks!

The Spring Romp Photo Contest is on for the "Animal Rescue Site Shelter+ Challenge!"  This contest allows you to submit a "favorite photo" of a rescued pet for an opportunity to win a $2,000 grant for the eligible Petfinder.com member rescue organizaiton of your choice. (Larry has submitted Pugalug!)

I need help with others submitting photos by May 15th to make it in this round.


Ten finalists will be chosen by the staff of The Animal Rescue Site™.

To be eligible, photos must be original work submitted during the appropriate time period, and must include information in the following entry fields: "Eligible Petfinder.com Rescue Organization Name (be precise!)", "Rescue Organization City, State, & Country", and "Image Title".

   

Voting for the "Finalists" starts Tuesday, May 17  through Monday, May 23

Just to clarify........ this contest is different to Bissell in that the more photos we enter, the higher the chance we are of being chosen by the Rescue Site Staff to be one of the top 10 finalists.


The only way we can be involved in voting will be if one of our photos is chosen for the top 10!

Great photo of Dave Amanda!  They asked for happy which Dave excels at    I'm getting ready to start voting next week.  Hopefully we'll get many more submissions to improve our chances.

Thanks Jane!  I hope that the "smile" will help to get him noticed!  Over 400 photos submitted so far and only 10 are chosen for the voting round!

If anyone has time this weekend to submit a photo that would be great ......Tomorrow is the last day to submit for this round but there is one more opportunity to submit photos from Thursday, May 26   through    Sunday, June 12!

I have to send in our proof of charitable status and Articles of Incorporation. Once they review them, they will send us our ID and put Pugalug on the website.

The funny thing is, we were registered with Petfinder 4 years ago. But then they dumped us because we were not contributing submissions to their website. We did a couple of times when we were not getting applications on our website.

Dave will probably be out of the running this round then as the charity has to be on Petfinder as an "eligible" rescue organization.

We'll need to get organized for the next round for the photo contest and...........

Yeah, it was weird.  Petfinder was a big bust for us.  I think we got one application or inquiry about a pug and it was from someone in the US.

Never could figure out why it never worked for us.

Phase One: Submit Your Photo!

Visitors to The Animal Rescue Site™ who are eighteen years old or older can enter a photo in the Spring Romp Photo Contest.

When you are submitting your photo, you must include the full name and address of the eligible Petfinder.com member rescue organization that you would like to direct the winning $2,000 grant donation to. If you are unsure whether your chosen rescue organization is eligible, please check the Shelter+ Challenge rules on The Animal Rescue Site™.

By submitting your photo, you certify that you own the copyright to the picture and that you agree to grant The Animal Rescue Site™ nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable right and license to copy, reproduce, publish in any media, distribute, and display all submitted photos, images, and text. The Animal Rescue Site™ reserves the right to alter pictures and edit text, and to remove any submissions at any time. We reserve the right to take down any photo that we deem inappropriate.

Phase Two: Judging the Finalists

Ten finalists will be chosen by the staff of The Animal Rescue Site™.

Finalists cannot vote for the photo they submitted. However, they can send a link to their photo to friends, asking them to vote.

Phase Four: Winners Announcement

The Grand Prize winner will be determined by the highest number of votes.
