Welcome Lizzie, I am sure there will be many puppy stories to come. You are a pretty little girl, I hope you settle in nicely at your foster home.

Lizzie is a real cutie. Hope she will find the perfect forever very soon. And who is that dear little black Pug sitting beside her?

Our own Louise J is fostering Lizzie and that's her Nero you see in the background. Hopefully Louise will post about Miss Lizzie.

Sorry everyone, I'm just getting to know the routine here at pugalug so I'll give you an update on Lizzie (and I'll send one to Mark).
Lizzie is doing really well. The first few days she was out of sorts but that's to be expected. She's right in our daily routines now and looks forward to the drive in the morning to drop my son off at school and our walks. She loves to play and can be quite rambunctious with my other 1 year old girl. They have quite the little wrestling matches, my male pug was a bit upset with this at first thinking that they were fighting and tried to separate them, lol! Now he knows it's just puppy play and sometimes he joins in now. As you can see from her picture, the girls seem to have really bonded and walk shoulder to shoulder :-)
I have a very large fenced yard and Lizzie LOVES it! She runs around like crazy and leaps into the air! I was telling Victoria that you can actually see her smiling! I don't think she had an opportunity to run free with her original family. She has LOTS of energy and needs to burn it off.
She is still quite insecure and nervous and likes to keep me in her vision at all times. I give her lots of hugs and reassurance and this seems to be helping. I work from home and I'm with my dogs all day she hasn't been left alone yet. She sleeps really well in our big bed and is really snuggly. A real lap dog.

Here it is, my letter of confession to foster failure... Lizzie will be staying with me. I am quite embarrassed to be a foster failure so quickly, though I hear I'm not alone! But we are so happy, we love Lizzie very much and she really loves her life here. She has a big backyard to run and play in, a brother and sister pug to play with and she LOVES to go for a swim in the lake! We're still working on her anxiousness - especially around new people - and pee pees in the house but we're seeing progress. Wherever my little girl Nero is, you'll find Lizzie. They are sisters from another life I think! Thank you Pugalug for bringing Lizzie into our lives and I'm sorry for caving on my first foster Here is a photo of Lizzie with her brother Otis, sister Nero and Chico (my son's dog who, by the way is the dog from the Dominican Republic that I posted! He has had an amazing transformation.. I'll post pics of him too). Lizzie has caught Chico and tackled him, it's so funny to watch them play. Chico loves it when the girls catch him, he looks like he's laughing, lol!

What a wonderful ending for Miss Lizzie to find her perfect forever and for her perfect forever to find her! Congratulations to all of you! And failure is the last word I would ever associate with a Happy Tail like this one. We'll look forward to hearing more about the antics of Lizzie and her new family.
