Miss Daisy has had quite a time. Sounds like she's settling in and doing better. Hope the Godess of Perfect Forever Families is smiling on Daisy and she'll soon be ready for that one last quick transition.

Can we have some extra good thoughts out for our Miss Daisy?  she's developed a corneal ulcer which over night has turned into a melting ulcer.  She's off to the ophthalmologist today and will either be getting a corneal graft or we will remove the eye, depending on her health status, the condition of the eye, etc.

And praises to her foster mother for (1) noticing the initial ulcer so quickly and (2) responding so quickly.

Thinking of you Daisy and sending healing thoughts your way.  What a great job your foster mom noticed so quickly.

Daisy update:
God love her foster mother, Christina.  The vet ophthalmologist at the ER in Guelph was on holidays so poor Christina and Daisy had to drive to the Mississauga-Oakville ER.  They did see Dr. Zigler (who I personally really like) and he feels that they can save most of Daisy's vision so we're going with the graft.  She will be admitted tonight and I'm assuming surgery tomorrow.

Poor Christina spent the whole day at the Square One Mall (ick) while Daisy was in the ER getting worked up for the appt.

So lots of good thoughts out for Daisy and again a HUGE thank you to Christina.
