Hope you and Mom have a fun ride on the

I had no idea pets could ride?? Is there a charge?

They can ride anytime but rush hour - which in Toronto is 3 hours in the a.m. and p.m. - no special section and no extra fee. I see quite a few animals on the TTC. Every time we go to PawsWay for a Pugalug we run into at least one other Pug on the streetcar on our way there.

Maude is doing fine. New eye cream and she has to go back every week for a few weeks but otherwise they fixed everything and she is pummeling Nelson as I type.  She even seemed happy to see me when I picked her up.

Well, that's not bad news overall, Laura.

I have to say that I did snicker about the "Fat Neck Maude" comment.  God help me if I ever have to put Tank in a cone.

GO train and VIA are a different story.  GO train they have to be crated--and VIA I think they actually have to travel with the baggage.....

Hmmpf! Lucky toronto canines! The LTC won't allow pets
at all Sad anytime anywhere Sad
Tried one time; did get on the bus, made it to our
stop and then. got lip svc from the driver. My only
backup was there wasn't any signs to say "no pets"
Driver didn't like that argument.

Anyhow, happy to hear Maude is fine! Poor Nelson Wink
Maude will make up for lost "teasing time". LOL

Maude has traveled VIA and it is baggage and for her $25.00 one way. Last time we came back from London, the porter carried out two kennels and I started to approach him to get her. He asked which one was mine. I pointed at Maude and he said "oh, this one was good the other wouldn't shut-up the whole trip". The others owner was right behind me. I did kind of swell with pride though.

I really wish I didn't have to put her in baggage but we have done it twice now and it has been fine. We are about to again for Easter weekend. It is either that or find some place to board her that doesn't mind putting in drops three times / day. I figure the vet would be the best place for that but I think she would prefer 2.5 hours crated in baggage than a whole weekend in a cage. At least that's what I tell myself to ease the guilt.

I didn't know that about the LTC, that is really too bad. I lived there for years with my previous dog but always had a car, so it never came up.

It is good and it was very reasonable on the pocket book.

I am not sure what is going on with her neck but it is huge. You can see it in the avatar - this weird ruff - it is all skin and fur not fat but it seems to be getting bigger. It is like she has a permanent stole on. I have noticed Tank has a larger neck also - not all pugs do but I have seen some others.

Pugsley also "used" to have a large ruff Smiley

Maude actually looks quite svelte!

Bubba and Abi have "slim" necks!

Geeg is becoming a fat neck- Jem is a turkey neck.  Glad Maudie is good.  Is baggage on Via heated?  Can you visit her?

Sami has a huge neck, and hanging bits under her armpits - perfect spot for yeast. Hate it!

The trip to London is too short and they won't let you visit but for longer ones, you can. I am not sure about the heating but there is no A/C so pets can not travel between May 1 and Sept. 30. Good thing Easter is the weekend before.
