They're something else to say the least, hehe!  And thanks for the wishes =)

I forgot to mention, he was ordered to take 2ml of children's Benadryl twice a day as well.  It's also been mutually decided that I'm to get an air purifier.  Funny how I wouldn't think to buy one of these for myself, but the hint that it'll help the dog and no question, lol!

stroller but it has been a godsend for my
arms and back Wink
Its whatever makes our lives easier too! Smiley

Benadryl is often used on canines with coughs/
Allergies to lessen the symptoms!
However, do a search on this site. I think there
was a write up on Benadryl!
(if my memory serves me right)
Blanche posted about a possible danger with sugar subst
in cough syrups.... Xylitol

I so hope the tests come back neg!

I picked up the Life brand as it was a lot cheaper than the name brand and the same stuff.  Yay generic!  I checked for xylitol but it wasn't listed on the ingredients.

Amir's urinalysis came back normal which is good at least.  I had to take him back today to have more blood drawn.  Turns out they were going to use the sample they took during his wellness exam but the lab didn't have it anymore.  Results on that will be back on Wednesday.  In the meantime, he's taking Benadryl, Deramaxx and has brand new pillows and an air purifier.

The air purifier seems to be helping a great deal.  I admit, even I notice the difference.  Guess I should've picked one of those up a while ago, heh.  As he hasn't been coughing much (maybe twice) since he's finally de-stressed from the two vet visits in as many days, I'm 90% sure it's bronchitis.  A friend who works at the AVC told me that the chance of getting heartworm on the island is next to nil.  Of course, the enlarged vessel makes me wonder but I'm going with the more 'positive' prognosis of the two, heh.

Well I'm glad the air purifier is working for you both!

It does make a difference cutting down on dust,
Pollen etc.
Less irritants to contend with!

Hope Amir is feeling better soon and must be
nice not having mosquitos on the island!
I think I need to make a move out east Wink

After a bit of a delay, I finally got the results of the blood test back.  Amir is heartworm free so the winner is bronchitis.  Certainly the lesser of the two evils!
