This girl has been a favourite of mine for many years.  she lived in DC with her dad, Michael.  she was a pug of great dignity and charm.  The picture of her is while she was waiting to go to the Bark Ball--a fund raiser for a local shelter, I think.  You can just see her corsage on her pink harness.

Her dad let her go yesterday after struggling with multiple health issues.  She had lost her spark so Michael let her go.

Sail on, Millie.

Oh gosh, poor Michael, I remember reading about Millie on pugvillage.  What a pretty girl, and free of pain now.

He is heart broken, Candace.  He lost his partner to liver cancer in 2000 and says that Millie was what brought him through Jason's illness and death.

What a face, it's always hard to hear when people lose the ones they love. My heart goes out to Michael.

Millie looked like a very well loved girl.  It's the toughest and kindest decision to make.  Our condolences go out to you.
