Hi everyone

Just wanted to share the good news.  Since his last checkup he's gone down from 26.7lbs to 25lbs ... which I think is about the perfect weight for him and our vet agrees.  He went in today to get his annual bloodwork done (we'll have the results tomorrow) but thought I would share this news with everyone.

Way to go Bugsy!

Alright, Bug Man.  Yeah, these bigger structured boys aren't ever going to see the "breed standard" and shouldn't.

25 lbs sounds good to me!

Yep given that he's just overall much bigger in scale all around than the breed standard means that he will never see that weight and if he did it wouldn't be a good thing!  He's very nicely proportioned now and seems to be very happy and has pretty good energy levels considering his age Smiley

Absolutely, considering Chewy is about 200% as tall as Bugsy!  I was going to comment on something you said in an earlier thread where you called him your "little guy" ... but I guess it's all relative!

Hey it's all relative.  Is he fat?  Does he have a discernible waist and a cut up?  Then he's fine.  He's the Mondo-Pug.

It's astonishing how many people think Tank is a mix because of his size and his somewhat frizzy fur.  And I know for a fact he isn't a mix.  Drives me kind of nutty.

Way to go Bugsy!  You are so very lucky to have found such a loving furever family.  I have a serious question Mark but sounds a little wonky.  This comes from my boy who asked what is Charlie going to look like when he looses the 20 pounds he needs to lose?  My son has seen pictures of people who have had mass weight loss and have elephant wrinkles ( as he says)  He even said to me are you sure you want Charlie to loose that much weight he might be a walking saggy skin mess.  I am assuming that because of the exercise with the weight loss there is no extra saggy skin is this correct?
