Any news?  Thinking of you!

Thanks Anna,
Well I went to Derrydale for the Thyroid, but ended up having an exam, CBC, skin scrape, and a Culture for antibiotic, Dr. Tye gave her a weeks worth of Cephilexin until her results come in, and if that is the antibiotic that will treat the infection she will give an additional 5 weeks.
So now that I am poor (400 bucks later) we'll have to wait on the Hypothyroid. She thinks because of the infection she was miserable, and hopefully we can get it under control. This all happened so fast with her - she flies down hill fast when she isn't feeling well.

So the thyroid test will have to wait until next week. She doesn't think she has it, but worth checking.

She also doesn't agree with the whole carcass diet I have her on, but oh well, I don't really go to the vet for nutrition advice for my dogs.

She has a skin infection, so she will be on

Amanda:
Most vets aren't going to approve of raw, much less whole carcass and Dr. Tye is very traditional around this stuff.  What infection are they treating?  Skin , urinary, general?

So very rare to find a Vet who will approve Raw feeding without an argument.

I don't generally bring up what the pugs eat unless asked.
My Vet is kosher with it cause she also does it with hers, although
we keep that on the quiet side too!

The only time I will bring it up, is when there is blood work to be done, thanks to Hilary's
advice, the results are always different than normal kibble fed dogs.

Especially when you have a new Vet who just graduated Wink
Went through hell several falls ago, where the Vet had me thinking
Pugsley was having adrenal failure Sad and really all it was, was a toothache and
the Vet not knowing he was on raw feeding!
$200.00 later and a free bag of kibble  Roll Eyes

Seems I posted without finishing my post, tells you how tired I was ....

Right now she is being treated for a skin infection. She gave a weeks worth of Cephalexin until the culture comes back to be sure we are using the right antibiotic. After that, she we get an addition 5 weeks worth.
