Hey guys!
I've read the forums forever, I decided to join up today and get serious about my addiction.
I'm located in Barrie, Ontario and my husband and I have the best excuse not to have children EVER. He's a 2 year old Pug cross named Tyson. Ty was a rescue from a puppy mill about 1 hour from London that went under the guise of a breeder called "Pups 4 Pets". We got him as a puppy in 2009, ad he's been spoiled rotten ever since. I've been totally OBSESSED with Pugs for about the last 6 years. I've always had BIG dogs (Rotties, Sheppards, Collies, Huskies) and when my husband and i moved to Barrie because of a car accident my husband was in, there was just no way we could get another big dog...it would be too hard for Jeff, my husband, to walk. Anyway, we recently signed a lease for a house with a HUGE yard, and I'm thinking it's time for Tyson to have a little sister or brother! I've actually been an approved adopter with Pugalug for years (I assume that approval stays from the first time I sent in the form??) and am currently getting serious about our first purebred. I'd obviously rather adopt someone who needs it opposed to going to a breeder, but I'm honestly nervous...but I'll leave that conversation for another board. I just wanted to say hi!! I can't wait to meet you all!

It's funny, and worse since I got my iPod Touch 4 with the camera Everyone gives me a hard time because there are so many of Tyson...but seriously...when our kids are this cute why would you shoot anything else!?

Welcome.
I'll answer your question about breeder vs. rescue in the other thread, but let me just say that our procedures have changed in the last couple of years and we no longer keep old applications on file. If you were to decide to apply for one of our foster dogs, you'll have to fill out an application each and every time you apply.
We found keeping the old applications on file was a database nightmare and many became "stale dated" or people were no longer interested, etc. So now we ask that folks apply for a specific pug and must send in a new application for each dog they apply for (unless you wish to be considered for more than one).
So you're technically not approved until we get an application, you are selected as the top applicant for that specific pug and get a home visit, reference check etc done.
