I got a message that Green Mountain Pug Rescue in Vermont is also entered. Apparently they have won a fair amount in the past.

Amanda, I'm not sure how this works. So if Dave were to win week 1, would that be it for Dave voting? Would we then submit another pug in week 2 to vote for?

http://www.bissell.com/mvp-2010-winners/?icid=MVP2011_08Based on this link, it looks like weekly winners in the past have won with about 600-1700 votes. This mean that a new dog has to be submitted each week, and the votes for that dog only count that week. If we need 1700 votes for Dave to win this week, my calculations say that we need about 242 people voting each day.

He is at 120 votes now. I registered Maude and Nelson under my two other email addresses, so he will get three votes a day from us. Go Dave and Pugalug!

Larry, yes, the top 5 dogs with the most votes in each of the weeks go on to be eligible for the $10, 000 prize. There is a prize for the dog with the most votes each week and all 5 get a VISA gift card. We can enter a different dog each week. The dog to vote for in the next week needs to be entered this week. On the main page there is a link to the contest calendar. I mentioned on my initial post we could enter a photo in some or all of the weeks....... depending on how everyone feels or if we are at "voter burnout". What does everyone think?

I signed up my husband and me. I'm going to ask him if he is okay with me also using his business email...not sure. Unfotunately when I was signing up my son I used his real age and he was not eligible:(

I'm easy, amanda. It would be nice, but not necessary if all the pugs entered could be Pugalug rescues. I can enter one of Tanya's pics of Hazel.

Well, I can enter Hazel for next week and maybe Adrienne can put Bug in for the week after.....
Okay--I submitted a pic of Hazel, but the rules say it has to be "my original work" so didn't submit one of Tanya's. Too bad as her pics of Hazel are WAY better than mine. So Hazel will be featured next week.

I think you may have been able to.......some info I copied from the FAQ page....... Q. If my pet didn't win in a past period, can I submit him again in a future period? A. Yes, as long as your pet does not win, you may submit your pet once in each submission period. Q. Can I submit a photo taken by a professional photographer? A. Yes, the photo can be professionally shot, as long as the photographer has given you full rights for the photo. And by entering, you are giving us rights to use the photo as we see fit.

Thanks, Amanda--but I don't have "formal" permission to use Tanya's pic. I'm sure she wouldn't mind, but I don't want to do so without her permission.
I submiited this photograph with the caption "I see with my heart and not my eyes"

Blanche, I love it too!
Just an FYI, I just found this and thought if anyone is deciding on which photo to submit......
Judging Phase: During the Judging Phase, a panel of qualified judges determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion will select the five (5) entrants with the highest-scoring Submissions from among the sixty (60) Finalists based on the following criteria (“Judging Criteria”):
Condition of Pet's Coat (33%);
Expression of Pet (33%); and
Overall Appearance (34%)
