Well out little nutter has been home for a bit now and is finished meds and doing well.  The long term fallout for her in this seems to be more psychological than physical at this point.  The only lasting physical effect thus far is that her voice has become muted and lost it's upper register.  Considering what could have happened, not so bad.  But psychologically she is still pretty shakey.  She is back to wanting to go outside, and has no fear of sticks unfortunately, but she has developed separation anxiety.  When Nick, Isaac, and I had to go out on Sunday Ada actually howled when we left.  Even though she had Darwin and both my parents there to cuddle her she howled 3 times and was inconsolable.  That is the first time Ada has ever howled since we got her.  She was also scared silly by doing a reverse sneeze this morning, poor baby.  We are hoping that the fears will subside with time and that she will get her confidence back.

Nick and I made a little video of our Adadog, hopefully the facebook link will work:

She is so tiny and cute. The video is great. Her injury and the stress of not knowing what was happening must have been psychologically very distressing for all of you, not just her. I hope with time she will adjust back to her normal loonie self (sans sticks of course). : )

Even with the separation anxiety it must be so great that she is physically mostly healed, what a scare that was.

Awwww, loved the video.  She's such a cutie and so pretty in pink.  I wish those folks that don't think they can have toddlers and dogs at the same time could see this.  Gentle hugs for Ada to help restore her confidence.

Poor muffin with the SA.  Maudie got it after every VEC stay even though she was pampered and coddled.  I think some of the girls from rough starts have a higher propensity for it after a trauma.  I hope she gets her confidence back.

The videos were darling.
