Yeah for Ada and everyone who loves her! That is great news. I was so worried about her these last few days and am so relieved she is coming along so well - I can't imagine how happy you must be.

As for woods, sticks, etc - I agree with Blanche - the little loon must be banned from them. But she will have so much fun and love she will never miss them.

Ada is home, and curled up on Nick getting some TLC.  Her throat is pretty sore (big surprise), and she was traumatized enough by what happened that she actually peed on Nick on the way home when we made a stop so I could get her some soft food.  Her voice is very hoarse and quiet and I'm not sure if she will regain it.  She lost a lot of weight during all this - a whole kilogram!  She looks way too skinny now so we will have to fatten her up. Smiley

She may require rescoping if she doesn't recover well but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.  The bill thus far - $4602, but that does not include follow ups.  So Ada has cost us about $10 000 in less than one year.  She is SO grounded.  And as for sticks?  If she even LOOKS at a stick again I'll tape her mouth shut.  Since she cannot be trusted and you can't muzzle a pug, we have decided that she must wear a long cone when being walked from now on to help prevent Hoovermouth from ever doing this again.

I am so glad Ada has recovered nicely - I vote she gets a summer job this year Wink.  As for sticks, I fully agree with you that they are forever off boundaries!  We learn in school about so many of these cases that now the surgeons are teaching us to inform clients about the risks of playing with sticks.  If she can't cut the habit of sticks, there are these elk antler things out there.  Lady used to play with sticks a lot and I gradually taught her no.  I give her those elk antler things because they are virtually indestructable for her.  However, like every "toy" out there, owners should ehr to the side of caution and supervision no matter how indestructable they claim to be!  Smiley  http://www.organicbullies.com/products/Deer-Antlers-5%252d6%22-%252d-Regular-Antler.html --> here's an example of those elk antler things.

That price is insanity - I can't wait to find out mine (from Pugsley's eye thing) *sarcasm!*.  He has PetSecure though but since this is another eye problem, I'm not sure they'll cover it this time.  In any case, Pugsley also needs to get a summer job this year!  Smiley

Glad Ada is out of the woods!  Yay!
