She wasn't a Pug, but our dear white cat, and we had to say good-bye this morning. About a week and a half ago she started showing signs of what we at first thought was a UTI (not drinking, not using her litter box, pooping all over the house), but even though she was being treated for a UTI, we quickly realized that the problem was something else....something neurological. After seeing our own Vet again, and then taking her to a neurologist at the VEC, it was determined that she probably had a brain tumor. We made the very hard decision not to not put her through further tests, as she had a heart murmur, and it would have been difficult for her. And we were told that even with an operation, her quality of life would be gone.
It was so hard to say good-bye. She was only ten years old, and had always been in perfect health, but she was deteriorating very quickly, and we could not let her suffer. Annie has now gone to happily play with her old friend, our first Pug, Otis.
We will miss her.....

Nancy-Jean, I will miss seeing Annie 'slink' by and give me the stink eye for bringing more pugs into her house when we visit.
