Okay here goes,

I have been really worried about the ol' fart lately and
thought the worst Sad
since my 12. hr shifts started he has been acting weird.
I know there is a. transition for him BUT he usually gets
on the band wagon pretty fast; only this time maybe not Sad

I have been having a heck of a time getting him to sleep without
crying. Sollution hold him till he falls asleep (oh sooooo tired too)
Then he wasn't eating or just maybe one meal sometimes 2 sometimes
a few licks and then the head turn (I'm not eating that stuff) look!
last week he stopped cold turkey and my heart sunk.
All he would eat was. yogurt and cottage cheese?!?! believe me
I tried all his favourites all the while muttering about poor rescues
who have nothing and still he refused!
Pugsley is still drinking normal amts of water.

we are now Smiley only waking up 2 maybe 3 times per night! as opposed to
8x.  Sad

pugsley was doing all his business up until Sunday. He hasn't dumped
since then. Sad
I'm at a losss or getting too whacked out to think! Is there a natural laxative
anyone can recommend??

However, he hasn't lost weight and isn't slowing down any?!?!
Success this morning he polished off his breakfast in short order!
BUT I am worried. about the lack of a dump right now! I think the grumping
currently going on is hiis way ofsaying he has to go.
He won't go! I don't want to try an herbal laxative unless someone has an
idea on something that will soften his. stool naturally!

thanks. for any input!

Aw, poor Pugs.  Send him snuggles from us.
As for the laxative, I'd go with good old pumpkin.  It did miracles for our cat with megacolon.

Keep us posted!

Awwwww!    Cheesy the,   er uhm, sweet smell of success!

at least Wink for me lol!  FINALLY a dump!

It took a 1/2 hr of in, out and keeping the ol' fart
Moving!  (And yes he is an ol' fart; at least the aroma
Coming from him last nite said "old and stale").  Wink

Thanks Anna! Great suggestion! I will keep pumpkin in mind Smiley
Only problem is Pugsley is being such a picky eater
lately Sad  However, hoping this dump will clear this up!!

I'm glad to hear that Pugsley finally gave it up.  I think you did exactly the right thing, sometimes you've just got to walk it out of them.  I know his mobility isn't the best, congratulations on getting him and his poop moving  Grin

Hi guys,

The routine to get him to dump.
Circle, circle, circle, watch the ....... oh well, we hit the snow bank, clean the face,
Circle, circle, circle, watch the ....... oh well, we hit the snow bank, clean the face,
too many times to count,
yep and the picture includes ME hunched over, right behind him trying to catch
him as he circles into a snow bank LOL! Cheesy
Takes about a good 15 min's of hunching!

I'm extremely proud of his perseverence and stoic nature!
Nothing gets the old guy down and if he falls anywhere ....
he gets right back up and is on the go again! Still active and still enjoying life Smiley Smiley
