actually baby aspirin is a lower dosage of adult aspirin at 81mg.

it isn't actually called baby aspirin anymore, it is now used as an adult low dosage
for the heart.

However, it is one and the same. They changed the name when there was controversy
over whether children should be taking aspirin or not.

so if you take and cut it in 4's it brings it to approx. 20mg each.
I find it quite safe given with yogurt or food or just something that
will actually coat the stomach. Be very careful as it can cause ulcers.
I only give a very low dosage and find with the Lakota it is enough to help control
Pugsley's wobble pains.
Pugsley has been on the low dosage aspirin for approx 2 yrs and Bubba
is on it now too, he is starting to slow a wee bit and I do see a marked
improvement in his movements when he gets it.
At the most, Bubba gets 40mg and Pugsley is 40 - 60mg per day.
It depends on how they are moving.

Metacalm, I believe, is too hard on a canine and I'm sure there would have
been worse after effects had Pugsley gone on that at  his age.

just my 4 cents or is it supposed to be 6 now!?!?!?
