Read this and thought it would be nice to have a spot to post "senior moments."  Here's a senior moment to start, nicely written.

Probably my favourite senior moment of the day is when we all go to bed.  Lola gets into her dog bed beside the big bed, I lift Tank and Hazel onto the big bed.  Hazel gets under the covers and proceeds to lick my back and Tank rolls onto his back for belly rubs.  Theo crashes at the end of the bed and snores--everyone settles in and sighs with content and off to dream land we all go.

Perhaps the moment you look at their face and it dawns on you, that they really are old, not just getting there. Both endearing and disheartening at the same time.

That is absolutely my favourite part of the entire day.  Everyone tucked in and happy.  I even find the snoring comforting.

Agreed, it's the same for me.  Bedtime is great.  Cooper loves to snuggle right in under the covers against my mid-section and Bugsy lays right up against my leg and the snoring commences Smiley
