Today dear one you were laid to rest
Parentage unknon yet simply the best
A call to rescue on that day we met
Ever in my heart. A cherished pet..............

Liberty Paige spent many years neglected and abused. It took months for her to learn to trust men. She was terrified of sounds in the night. I spent the first four months in the spare room holding her nightly. She would panic and have trouble catching her breath. Little by little she learned trust. Eventually Paige accompanied the dogs on walks around the neighbourhood. She never wore a collar or lead. She was completely obedience trained and it only took me one afternoon. Brains and beauty. She was terrified of collars and any type of lead so I decided on plan B. It worked wonders. Paige loved car rides and eventually learned that meeting new humans meant treaties and tummy rubs. Paige allowed the wee Griffons to use her a step stool onto the sofa. She snuggled with them and shared the bed with Nellson and the crew.
These past few months she was no longer able to go for walks. She lost her vision and suffered the ravages of old age including heart and breathing issues.
Quietly in my arms Paige crossed the Bridge, free to meet up with Koshi and baby Channelle. Please light a candle to guide our beloved old girl safely across the Bridge.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I remember when you adopted her and how she was.  It is so nice to know that she knew love and patience in her last years.  Thank you for all you did.
Thinking of you all.
