Well, I forgot to post this here but my little old man, Pugsley, had cataracts surgery last week and is recovering at home finally as of yesterday. Alas, he is on 10 different types of medication post operatively and I've timed it so that I can go home during lunches to give him his meds. Worst comes to worst, I will sneak him in class. But just letting everyone know that he says hi and he can finally see! Beware....

Oh hugs to you and Pugsley! Be prepared because boy will you see changes when he is up and around again and the clouds have lifted, as it were. But be warned, when my Shih Tzu had this done it destroyed the remains of his peripheral vision and it took him some time to adjust to that. And how could a vet school object to you bringing him to class, it would be educational!

Thanks for all your well wishes. He had his first recheck and has been weaned off some post-op meds! He has another recheck on Monday so we'll see what happens! He's pretty alert now - it probably surprises him how much more he can see now.
