The first time I saw Pete he was sitting on your lap Blanche at the All About Pets show, sitting while people asked you questions all the time just basking in all the attention he was getting. My thoughts are with you.

Blanche, I am so far behind and I just saw this.  I can't believe how times passes.  I never met Pete but your posts about him, Sonny and his antics always bring a smile to my face.  You are so lucky to have had him and to have the ability to capture his time with you so well.  Here's to Pete!

Pete was our first and was such an easy guy--then came Bob and I really learned about pug attitude and stubborness.  There couldnčt have been two more different dogs than Pete and Bob.

Just remember that with every pug you help, his memory lives on continue to touch the lives of others, thus although he is gone, he really does live on through your work.

No question about it, Deb.  Without Pete I wouldn't have gotten into pug rescue at all.

That's what I had figured. His existence had a profound effect, so for all those who wonder if saving one dog can make a difference...

Yep.  It's a "change over time" deal.  Without Lola, I wouldn't have considered a "toy breed" so wouldn't have adopted a pug.  Without Pete, I wouldn't have known pugs needed rescuing.
I wasn't a fan of the toy breeds and certainly wouldn't have ever adopted a pom if my husband hadn't really wanted her.  She opened the door to the small breeds and it's been downhill ever since.......
