I've been doing bits and pieces of cleanup and adding in a few features over the last couple of weeks and I wanted to give everyone a heads up that I plan on doing a bit of forum reorganization soon. No drastic changes, but some forums will be re-arranged into more appropriate categories (for example right now the official "Pugalug" information forums are scattered across a couple of sections and should really all be together under the Pugalug category). A few of the forums with lesser traffic and few topics may also possibly be getting combined in an effort to get the overall amount of scrolling required on the main page down.
Tonight I removed a few older forums that had little to no relevant information in them -- all of which hadn't been posted to in at least 6 months or longer. Where applicable posts that were relevant were moved into more used areas, almost nothing was deleted (for example: I combined the "Business Card & Job Opportunities" forum with the "Agencies & Companies of Interest" forum as they both had pretty much the same thing in them and neither had much traffic).
When the changes happen it may take a tiny bit of getting used to -- mostly where the new locations for some forums are going to be location ... but I promise they will all be in logical sections. I will try not to shake things up too badly, but I think that it's important to get these sorted out and into more appropriate places moving forward, especially for new people coming into the forum to find out information on Pugalug and to tap into the large wealth of knowledge that we have been accumulating here over the years!
This is mostly being done based on feedback of new users that I've helped out recently. Helping them to find the things they were looking for and commenting that they weren't really where they expected them to be, and after looking at it more closely I fully agree.
