My name is Amanda (or Mandy) and i have 3 pugs in total. Two belong to my parents (Ruby who is nearly 7 and Chai who is 3) and one belongs to me (Izzie who is almost a year and a half).
I am a Canine/Feline Nutrition Specialist at a Health Food Store for Pets and i do alot of research on anything and everything food. I am also a raw feeder which keeps all my girls in top condition. I also dabble in homeopathy as well. I currently attend my local university studying pre-veterinary/Biological Sciences and hope to be a holistic veterinarian someday.
I'm excited to poke around the forums and read all the information that's on here and contribute some myself!

Welcome! I feed raw, as well. A number of us do. Got any good ideas for my foster Emi. She has an acute spinal injury. It affects her walk and control of her bowel movements. As well, she gets repeated bladder infections and crystals. We had gotten rid of the crystals and tried some natural methods, but she got them back. She currently, is being treated for a bladder infection (e-coli) What types of things would you suggest for keeping these problems from recurring. I have tried a cranberry supplement, flooding food and apple cider vinegar.

Hi Mandy & Gang! Welcome. What part of the prairies are you from? Some of us came from the prairies (ahem) 30 years ago.... By the look of the temperatures there the last day or two, I'm sure you're fur babies are not wanting to spend much time outside. I heard -43 this morning in Edmonton.... Brrrrr! Cheers, Ross, Cash & Rosie

Welcome Mandy and girls. I can tell my boy to suck up this Ontario weather, your poor pug babies must want to use a little box. Look forward to seeing pictures of your gang.
