I am so happy to read about these guys.  They sound wonderful.  I hope that, when they are ready to be adopted, that people remember all the extraordinary things about seniors and are not deterred by their age.  Adopting an oldish rescue is one of the best things ever.

Here, here!  Seniors generally bring lots of (quiet) personality, affection and an absence of the annoying little youngish dog habits - chewing, busy-ness, craving for attention all the time, ...

I LOVE my senior pug.  I don't think I would have things any different and when time comes for more adoptions it will be seniors all the way.

Loki has really good energy for a dog his age but the nice qualities of an older dog too. He will be a great companion to someone when he's ready to go.

Just checked out his post and he looks like quite a guy indeed! Seniors make the greatest companions. Grin

I was laughing at Loki eating his dinner tonight... I feed the pugs a grain-free kibble and add water ... not to soften but to ensure extra "flushing" . He was picking the kibble bits up out of the water with his tongue and spitting them on the floor... he would do this to a few then pick them up off the dry floor eat them, then go back and spit a few more out onto the floor...

He really is a funny little fellow. Like Sanford we are noticing a big improvement in his coat and much less shedding already..

Aww, there's nothing like savouring your food, right Loki!

Kathy, that's good to hear Loki's coat is getting healthier.

We'll be thinking of him, tomorrow. Let us know when he is out and recovering.

That's so cute, about his food.
When getting a kibble meal, Salvador started to spit his food out. It was so he could locate a new medication and just eat the kibble. He has always eaten pills with no problem. This new one must taste really nasty. I have to coat it with something yummy for him to take it.

That's a card I received for Christmas. I just scanned it. Too funny, though. It came from a non pug owner, too!

me too.... he is such a nice boy, I really hope its just infection.

He is doing very well post surgery and probably ate his breakfast today better than any other day I have seen so far. He was faster and less hesitant to eat. Those teeth were awful and must have been terribly painful.

A note on a previous foster - Winnie is staying with us this week as well. She came last Wed and will be staying until Thursday. She is looking fabulous! Winnie came in to the house like she had never left, very excited to see everyone and giving me lots of kisses. She has been a great girl this week.
