Innocent as ever, he was up there in a flash.

It was one year ago today that we first set our eyes on the real Bruce, not just his picture.  I knew from first sight and his first step into our home, he was just the perfect little guy for us.  I sat on the couch at one point and he just jumped up and sat on me.  Melted my heart (as if it wasn't already melted) :)It was a week later we picked him up from his foster mom, it was one of the longest weeks in my life, just waiting to pick him up.
Since then we have gone through some stuff with Bruce.  Good and bad.  He needed surgery in March, but we got through that with the help of a very special  "Angel".  She knows who she is.  Smiley  It was a very stressful time for us as we hadn't had Bruce very long, I could hardly bare the pain he was going through.  But he went through it a whole lot better then I did.  He has since been doing fine.  "Knock on wood, want to keep it that way"  That is the bad.
Now the good.  He has made us extremely happy.  He has given us so much love and has brought smiles to our faces more times in one day then I thought was ever possible.  Everyone that meets him loves him and he loves meeting new people.  The car.. oh the car.. *L* Just say the word and he gets so excited.. wow..he  does circles, runs to the front door and "chirps" as I will call it.  He gets in the car and really loves it, and when he needs to stop for a potty break, he talks.. *LOL* so cute..  it is almost a talk.  Richard and I were married this summer and Bruce was the star.  He was so cute in his Tux.  He was so well behaved, specially having to be dressed like that.  Recently he has gone on his longest car ride with us.  We took him to NYS with us for a few days.  By the time we got home, we had been all the way around Lake Ontario.  You would think that after that long trip in just a few days he would not like the car any more.. But he does.  He loves it just as much.. Like I said, just say CAR and he is off.  There is just so many special memories and times with him that I can't possibly mention here, besides you would all get bored.
Anyway, we are very happy to have him in our lives.  He is spoiled.. and that is fine with us.  We sure do love him.
Thanks Pugalug for bringing him into our lives.

Glad to see you here, Jean!  I had the pleasure of spending a day with Bruce en route to his foster home all that long time ago.  Seems like yesterday.  I'm SO glad you're all having such a good life together.  Give the cutie-pie a big hug from his friends at the Pugpillow place and Happy Gotcha Day to all of you!
