What a relief...the baby made it through her heart surgery this morning. She is resting in CCU. Her O2 stats are being monitored and she is receiving meds and fluids via an IV in her leg. She is bandaged and sleepy but doing remarkably well. Faith is a strong baby with a will to survive...All being well she can come home on Monday. :D

Thanks to everyone for the healing thoughts. Liz, your furkids are wonderful and the coffee absolute perfection. The visit was a welcomed distraction.
Faith is still not eating so they will do some bloodwork to ensure she is not heading for hypoglycemia. This is normal post-op. Her temp is normal, O2 still within normal range. The IV pain meds stopped and she is receiving antibiotics and liquid pain meds. The next 24 hrs will determine the success of the operation. Keep your paws crossed.

I don't know if *I'd*feel like eating after that kind of surgery....

I'm happy to have made the day a little easier for you.

And my kids all miss the nice cake ladies....Ripley laid at the door waiting... :D

Liz I think you and Kim should go on tour with the "Blind Dog Show"....your dogs are amazing..so many folks say dogs should be put down if anything less than perfect... :?: ...would they abandon their child if it did not come into this life perfect??? What the HE#$ is perfection anyway??? Your dogs knew right where the cake ladies were and how to steal/beg/and cute their way right to the treaties...

Heck, I forget sometimes.  And then I have to remember that a blind dog can't see you pointing to the door.....

Hows the little one?
