What a horrible story.  I am sending my thoughts for poor River.   I hope that she can learn that all humans are not evil.  I hope and pray she finds someone who is worthy of her love.  Karma is a bitch and I hope that whoever did this to her gets there's.  It saddens me that people can be so cold and cruel. River deserves the best, God Bless Donna Davidson who found her and saved her.

 evil
I would like to do the same to them and hope that they sink.............. just to see if their will to live, is as great as this poor terrier female!

How truly sad that humanity would stoop this low and how frightened the poor terrier female must have been fighting to regain the surface and get to shoreline!

I think this lady needs a big round of applause for going back and rescuing the little terrier and taking her to get attention!

I read that story, today. Grrrr! People are so evil, but then good ones come along and care for these sad cases. What a tough little lady, to pull herself out! She will survive.

It is unbelievable to me what people are capable of - that poor dog, thank goodness there are people out there who do care and will help. River is a fighter, she has already made it through a horrible experience. Good girl, things will get so much better for you now.

Oh wow, this story is so horrifying.  Makes me want to run home and hug my puppy.  I am so glad that this woman was able to help River and that she is now on her way to a new home.
