Lori -- I totally understand falling in love. He reminds me so much of Bugsy -- the huge smile, the endless kisses, and sweet and well behaved demeanor.

Welcome Chance!

He does seem to suffer from separation anxiety and has the most God Awful screamy bark.  So my bet is he isn't an apartment/condo/townhouse/semi-detached kind of guy.
And if he's going to have an accident, it seems to be when the SA kicks in.  But it's early days yet.

He also has a rip roaring UTI.  I took in a sample this morning as I thought he was lifting that leg too much.  The sample was dark and greenish so I knew something was up.
He's on clavamox for the next week and we'll re-test.  If we still have issues then we'll check for stones.
He LOVED being at the vet's.......

I saw the update on Chance where you talked about how focussed he is on you.  Is that something you will try to work on before he's ready for adoption or is it just his way of coping with all the change in his life right now?

I'm not sure what the deal is with Mr. Chance.  He spent his first 7.5 years without being left alone much if at all.  The last year has been somewhat different for him, but he showed the same behaviour I see when he isn't in sight of a human.
I think it is partly anxiety and partly expecting to always be with someone.  Yes, I'm going to work on it with him--as he is going to have to learn that he WON'T be someone 24/7.  He will scream and cry even if I go upstairs and gate off the stairs.  The presence of the other dogs doesn't change that behaviour.  He wants to be with humans and could care less about the other dogs.  And if he's going to have an accident, it will be while left at home or gated off.
Interestingly, he's not clingy once he's with you--not trying to get on my lap or other wise glue himself to me.  He wanders around the dog park quite independently and in the house, finds a dog bed to crash in, but he must be within sight of you or you get the screaming.
It's not classic separation anxiety, it feels more like outrage at not being included.
Will has a very similar behaviour pattern.

The reason I asked is because Chester is a real momma's boy and I've wondered if he's getting too attached to me.  Luckily for me Chester only whines when I'm out of his sight he doesn't scream like Mr. Chance.  Also, now that he understands my boys only want to play and not fight with him he's taking more of an interest in them  :D

LOL--Chance hasn't shown any interest in my dogs at all.  He's all about people.  But we are doing a gradual "Quiet gets you attention.  Barking gets you ignored" program.  He's improving, but I might not have any fingernails left as his bark is really God awful.
My guys are quite happy to have a foster that has no interest in them.  Beats the annoying puppies anyday as far as they are concerned.

He's a genuinely lovely little man.  Yes, he needs work on marking and barking when you're not around, but honestly, those aren't dreadful issues and can be worked on and managed.  He loves to go anywhere and travels in the car like a dream.  Totally uninterested in anything that isn't human, but gladly says hello to any two legger he meets.
