Today, 5 days shy of her 15th birthday we helped Mei-Ling pass peacefully and with dignity. She hadn't had use of her back end for a couple of years and the fluid building up on her lungs was causing sporadic coughing which would get worse until she needed diuretics. The diuretic causes incontinence and diarrhea and I couldn't put her through that again. Her little old body had had enough. She was my soul and she changed my life. To me she was beautiful beyond compare. I will always love you, my angel girl.

Mei-Ling was a beautiful pug - in body and spirit. Also she got Hilary and Bryan "puggged" as she was their first. So, in her own liltte Pug Karma way, Mei-Ling has brought happiness to many, many pugs (and other breeds) through the work that Hilary does.
Mei-Ling, you can hold your head up high as you frolic at the bridge, knowing how much good you have contributed to the world.
I look now at my calendar. There you are in your stroller, the last time I saw you. Go in Peace little one and take charge of the young ones who are with you at the bridge.
