OMG! Does anyone know where her former owners got her? I think she could be Darwin's sister! His litter had 3 boys and 2 girls and one of the girls had markings like Zilla if I remember correctly. Plus she's the right age and has the same super big eyes and stick out tongue!

There's a new girl in town. Godzilla is a 2 3/4 year old black female, tearfully surrendered by her owner last night. Her loving owner realized that the work schedule she was keeping was leaving Zilla alone for long, long days, which wasn't fair to the little dog.
Typically of dogs in new surroundings, Zilla was excited and panting, drinking lots, running around, investigating everything and everyone. Jackson enjoyed her toys and tried to hump her, but she was having none of that. After a short time she was initiating play with him and the pair was racing around the house. The pair is funny to watch as the toy the other has is what the other wants, so they've been switching back and forth since she got here. They haven't decided if their best buddies, but there has been some kissing.
Hooray, finally a female foster that doesn't need a long walk to do her business. Zilla gets right down to business almost immediately. She did have one poop accident in the house last evening, as well as throwing up, but that can be attributed to settling in excitement.
Zilla is solid, at the high side of healthy weight. She has a large white patch on her chest, and one white paw, a la Michael Jackson's glove. She knows her basic commands, and has a bright eager look in her lovely brown eyes. She's a little shy with people, but warms up, and is happy to sniff any of the dogs she's met so far. She hasn't started snuggling up, but once she gets settled in the house that may change. She does give kisses, and they're thorough. My ear has never been so clean.
Zilla has been well cared for, and after being observed for a couple of week to determine what a perfect forever home would be for her,a quick trip to the vet for an assessment and microchip, she will be ready to be a delight to some family.
Her profile and picture will be ready after the holiday weekend.

Welcome Zilla! I know that you'll find a loving new home. I can't believe how much she looks like my Darwin. I'm dying to know if they are related. The odds are pretty slim I know, but I'm very curious.

Introduction April 9 [attachment=0:2jzm78dx]godzilla2.jpg[/attachment:2jzm78dx]
Godzilla (Zilla) has arrived, and she and Jackson have been romping all over the house. She has nicely shared all her toys with Jackson, and is exploring Jackson's toys. While she doesn't appreciate being humped, and told him so, she already initiates play with her foster brother. Zilla is panting and drinking a lot of water, and even threw up a little when she first got here, but that's likely the excitement and stress of her move. When she first arrived, she sniffed up the front yard and peed to great appreciation. She has come when called and sat when asked, but has generally been far too busy exploring to listen to many commands.
Zilla is at the top end of healthy weight, with a large white patch on her chest and one "Michael Jackson glove" white paw. Let's see how the night goes.

She is so cute, with a lovely little face. I love the tongue. Is it out often?

She's been so excited since she's been here that her tongue has usually been sticking out a little.
When I get home from work I'll take her to Wildwood Park and see how she gets on with the rest of the pug gang.
