I'm waiting for the vet to call me back at the moment but when I spoke to him this morning he said she will probably be ok to go home tomorrow. I had a difficult time not going to visit her today but I thought about how Pinky would be so excited if she saw me and having an IV I thought that wouldn’t be good plus she would gets so upset when I leave. I didn’t want her to get so happy then be sooo sad when I left. Melvin won’t leave me for a minute he is more Velcro than usual. Melvin keeps playing with his toys but gets board quickly because Pinky usually takes them off of him. He is missing his bossy Pinky.

I bet you're right about that Carol.  Pulling an IV out would be horrible and getting over-excited probably wouldn't help either.  Your day was probably harder to bear than Pinky's.

Carol, although it was difficult for you not to go visit your Pinky, I think you made the right decision, you don't want to risk upsetting the IV and her. And since it sounds like she'll be home tomorrow her outlook must be leaning towards the positive side.

Melvin, bask in your Momma's undivided attention while you can, your Pinky Girl is gonna be back real soon!

I've been there, about visiting and it depends on the animal. I did visit Daisy, as she needed that reassurance that we were still there. I would never visit Mocha, as he is so attached to me that he freaks out and would get more stressed. You have to know your pet and make the best choice for them, not what you want. You did the right thing.

My Pink Girl is home!!!! She is doing well and very cuddly. She was so excited when I got there I definitely made the right choice not to visit she was crazy with excitement. It’s great to have her back. Thanks everyone for your thoughts!!!

Oh Pinky - hope you're having a good recovery.  Pugsley got into chocolates a few years ago - he used to be really springy and he pretty much jumped on the couch and flew his way to the shelf where the Godiva chocolates were...and we immediately brought him to the VEC.  One of the vets from OVC was there for the week (at VEC) - but he was doing cardio stuff I'm pretty sure.  Hope Pinky is OK!  Bug & Pug send you kissies and get well hugs!
