Hey Chester are you not a handsome dude! Smiley

Lori <img src="/forums/Smileys/phpbb3/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smiley" title="Smile" /> and the Pugmen!

Foster Report - Feb 21

Chester’s vet visit yesterday went quite well and overall he seems healthy. The heartworm test was good and the blood work was all good except for a slightly elevated white blood cell count. Chester will be on 100 mg of Amoxicillin twice a day for the next seven days
His weight is good at 8.8 kg. The vet, Dr. Tye, wasn’t able to check his teeth because Chester is very sensitive about having his head and face handled by someone he’s just met. He tolerated having his eyes and ears checked but drew the line at having his mouth opened. The vet said not to worry they’d give his teeth as good check when he’s under for his neuter.

I mentioned the slight umbilical hernia mentioned in Chester’s early vet records so Dr. Tye had a feel but couldn’t find anything wrong. She suggested I take a look and have a feel periodically to see if anything pops out.

His neuter is booked for Thursday, March 5th (the earliest date available) and he will be microchipped at that time.

Foster Report - Feb 14

Chester is an owner surrender. He is up to date on his vaccinations. Chester is settling in nicely and is a lovely, quiet boy who hasn’t barked yet. He’s very handsome with a lot of nice face wrinkles.
Chester is calm and affectionate and is enjoying the company of my husband and me. He’s curious about our three dogs but hasn’t really warmed up to them so far. He doesn’t seem to understand what they want from him when they invite him to play.

Since they are all boys they’ve been very busy in the yard sniffing out and marking over each other’s pees. Chester hasn’t “asked” to go out yet and there have been a couple of small accidents in the house but he’s still learning the layout and our routines so that’s not at all unexpected.

I had a good giggle over the photo of Chester in his profile on the main page.........I swear it looks like someone said to him, "Now smile and say cheese!". He has a real human-like smile and something in his eyes that's so - well human I guess! It's not the main photo but next one down after you click on his profile.

Our old man has that same smile. Makes you wonder what they are really thinking about?

Good Lord!!  You mean that poor boy had to sleep without being cradled in someone's arms?  SHOCKING.

I will say--for a pet store dog, he is really handsome
