Introduction - March 15 jake1.jpg[/attachment:ltcv9m1y]
Little Jake has just been transported by our volunteers to his new, foster home. He is 1/4 Jack Russel Terrier and 3/4 Pug. His previous owner left the country and the person who was looking after him, gave us a call and asked if we would find him a new, forever home. So we look forward to the stories and photos from his foster mom.

Update - March 16 jake2.jpg[/attachment:4a0v4frd] Jake is a sweet Pug \JRT cross. He is very active and very much like the 6 month old puppy he is. He had a great first day playing with my girl, non-stop. He is very friendly and loves to be around people and other dogs. He ate his dinner and had a short nap on the couch. Overnight was rougher on him. He was in his kennel in the bathroom and cried a lot. Apparently, he also cried when I was at work. He is still adjusting and this is all very new to him, so I’ll provide more information on his personality as he settles in. He is very striking looking; tall and thin with a soft apricot coloured coat. He had 2 accidents in the house but we are working on that. He seems to be quite smart and very eager to please.
He already knows to sit for a treat. He will hopefully be going to the vet for his first check up and vaccines on Friday and he will likely go in for his neutering a couple of weeks after that. jake5.jpg[/attachment:4a0v4frd]

Another jug mix. Seems like a lot of them are showing up in rescue. I am sure he will get a great home, just like Vincent and Maggie did! If he is anything like Vincent, his foster mom will be very busy! What a cute little guy. He has been through a lot already. I hope he settles and feels less anxious soon.

If he is anything like Vincent, his foster mom will be very busy! What a cute little guy. He has been through a lot already. I hope he settles and feels less anxious soon. Busy indeed. He is quite an active little guy. Between him and my girl - I am fully occupied with Pugs. One thing I am not used to is his ability to jump - I am positive he has springs for legs. Lucky for me I have a loon that is actually more active. They play a lot and that tires them both out. They also get some good long walks. I highly reccommend having two active dogs as a weight loss program - no time to eat and always on the move. He is a really cute dog. Very curious and attentive. He is a big head tilter - always trying to understand what I am saying.

The "springs" came as a surprise to us as well LOL it's like he can go from the floor to your lap without even bending his legs! Now atleast Rex will make sure we have eye contact before he jumps up (most of the time), but it took a bit to teach him that. I absolutely love the major head tilting.....come to think of it my Dad's Jack Russel tilts his head alot. Between the Pug and the Jack Russel they are bound to be head-tilters!
