Koshi Lin has gone to the Bridge.  Her moms, Colleen and Lori, let her go today after she has lost all use of her back end.
Koshi came into rescue as Kokobella and fostered with me.  she was a game and feisty girl with a hitch in her getalong.  She battled various urinary issues and had back end weakness from the get-go.
She lived large with her humans in Belleville and was a very popular girl famous for her "arfing" bark.
Run free, little girl.  So many people will miss you.

When my co-worker lost her dog a friend sent her this:

A DOG’S PRAYER

Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for your kindness then the loving heart of me.

Do not break my spirit with a stick though I should lick your hand between blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do.

Speak to me often, for your voice is the world’s sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footstep falls upon my waiting ear.

When it is cold and wet, please take me inside, for I am now a domesticated animal, no longer used to the bitter elements.  And I ask no greater glory then the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth.  Though you had no home, I would rather follow you through ice and snow then rest upon the softest pillow in the warmest home in all the land, for you are my god and I am your devoted worshipper.

Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although I should not reproach you, were it dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst.  Feed me clean food, that I may stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life should your life be in danger.

And, beloved master, should the great Master see fit to deprive me of my health or sight, do not turn me away from you.  Rather hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me the merciful boon of eternal rest – and I will leave you knowing with the last breath I drew, my fate was ever safest in your hands.

Koshi-Lin came to my heart and little did I know how mch my life would change.
One wee black DIVA with attitude and iron will filled me with such joy. Joy I had never known. I soon learned that caring for a DIVA was no simple task and an undertaking not ever to be met half heartedly.
Should the meal not be precisely proportioned to meet the Roayl requirements foot stomping/huffing and general disgust was the inevitable outcome.
Should the softest bed in the house be taken over by any mere dog the ARFING, foot stomping and general farking would echo throughout the kingdom of her Royal Majesty Koshi-Lin
Through illness and health the DIVA ruled with an iron paw. She had a doggone good sense of humour and an adaptability to her differently-abled body that awestruck all who knew her.
Serving Koshi was an honour for the all too short while she was with me. She was and always will be my one true HEARTDOG.
Today the vet and I decided to allow her to cross the Rainbow Bridge with dignity.
I cannot thank Kim and Blanche enough for allowing me the opportunity serve such a grand lady.
She will be dearly missed.

Oh, I can't tell you how sorry I am.  I never had the honour of meeting Koshi-Lin in person but I always enjoyed the stories of her adventures.  And I know from the way you always wrote about her how close she is to your heart.

We will say prayers for the Diva and know that she is running free of pain, free of hindrance at the Bridge where she will wait for you.

We'll light a candle for Koshi and again, we are so very sorry. cry

Although I never got to meet Koshi-Lin, I loved to hear the stories about her.  Her memory will live on with all of us.

Think of an older Leila and that would be Koshi.  Full of attitude and life.
