LOL!!

Okay I have to ask..........
does any of the other seniors parents on here think I'm crazy to even
get a stroller, let alone one that costs over $300.00  Wink
who had to be held all day long and then ran around all night

What is a senior Mom to do

Well I don't think you're crazy Lori.  The stroller idea sounds really practical.  And as you say, you're likely to have other seniors at some point.  And besides, this is for one of your kids...     But it just occurred to me, maybe you could find one you like that is slightly used on Ebay or Kijiji or Craiglist.  Not sure what availability would be like, but there's a chance you're find what you like and save some money at the same time....  Nothin' like a good bargain!

Lori:
Check with Candace--she bought one for Salvador and got it for a pretty reasonable price, I think.
Also check out www.seniorpetproducts.com.  They have some nice strollers at pretty okay prices.

The one I got is a Kittywalk. I got it on sale for $200., the dollar was good and the shipping was free. I got it from a different dealer.
http://www.pawsupply.com/kittywalk5thavenuesuv.html

Here is Salvador in it. I liked it because I could fit two pugs in it. He was recuperating from Grade 3 LP surgery and couldn't be mobile for 12 weeks. It was the summer and I could take him along to the park. I also had foster Daisy who had the femoral head excision and I thought she could ride with him. She just drove him crazy, though!

There are so many types. This one wouldn't be good, if you plan to go in stores.

Great info!

Thanks, Blanche and Candace!!

I like the Salvadorable stroller :) He looks as if he is enjoying himself!
I'm just not sure about the 4 wheelers tho.
In rough terrain is it easy enough to maneuver around?? I'm worried about going into a terrain that has soft earth/sand and small rocks?!?!?

Where are you planning on taking the boys!
I don't think this would handle a lot. I did take it to and from the park and around the park, which you have been to.

LOL!  Candace, we go everywhere, pretty much!
I am thinking also of the snow and slushy areas?? Especially coming to an Event where I would have to push the stroller to the building, say like the Paws Way.
I know that the one I am looking at will handle most terrain that I would head into. But was wondering about the 4 wheeler handling really soft areas. The park you go to is fine, as it is mostly a harder terrain under some soft earth and stones. ( I like that park!!)
But do you use the 4 wheeler in slush and snow??

There are a lot of moms in my area with those three wheelers and they seem to take a beating pretty well.  I've even see a dog in one and he seemed happy.  Also, with some models you can buy parts to hook it to the back of your bike as well.

I've no idea about where to get a good deal on one though.  Good luck!

I haven't used it since Salvador recovered from his surgery. I am sure it will come in handy, when his back gets worse. It probably wouldn't do well in too much snow.
I think those ones with the big wheels would work better, like those baby strollers that runners use.

Every 4 wheeler stoller I"ve seen this winter has had a hard time.  The three wheelers did a lot better.  So did the Red wagons.  You know, the old Radio Flyer ones or whatever they're called?  You can order one from Lee Valley I think that is one of the old classic wagons with big rubber, air filled wheels for summer and a change out kit for winter to sled runners!  Looked pretty cool.

2 PUGS IN A POD

I saw one at Petsmart and Petco in Mississauga area, a lot less than $300 (that's a lot!)  The next time you're down in the city (for a Pugalug) check out some places, but surf the net before, to have a few choice locations to go to  and this way Sarge can actually try out the merchandise before you buy. He's so handsome, always love his pictures, anytime.  They also have some great Pug books while you're there.  :D

Lori,
I've seen some folks use children's wagons for their pugs with limited mobility and they rig something up to attach to the pug's harness so they can't jump/fall out.  I'm pretty sure dogonit uses one.
